Don’t be deceived by crystal clear looking water!
When you hold up a glass of water it may look clean and pure but most often it contains contaminants too small to see with the naked eye.The biggest problem with municipal tap water treatment systems in the U.S. is that they were developed prior to World War I. To bring these systems up to modern standards, the U.S. would have to spend in excess of $123 billion over the next 20 years (Yes, that’s Billion with a B). Most other areas around the world are in even worse shape than the U.S.

These figures were based upon exposure to potentially harmful levels of hazardous materials whenever they opened a faucet. In 2003, only 7 years later, the figures doubled to 40% of Americans. These reports are only dealing with above the allowable limit for hazardous contaminants in the water. Almost all water in the U.S. and Worldwide currently contains detectable levels of toxic substances.
Scientists are looking at a variety of treatments to prevent contamination of public drinking water. Despite their best efforts, more than 25% of USA communities provide drinking water that contains excessive levels of biological, chemical or radioactive contaminants.
The best way to protect you and your family is to filter your water from the faucet and shower in your home using home filter systems and shower filters. When you are away from your house, make sure you are using water bottle filters and other portable water filter products for personal water filtration wherever you are. Yes, we have low quality water in the US, according to the EPA, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get clean water at a cheap price if we do something about it.
