CDC warns Bottled Water and Soft Drinks may contain Cryptosporidium

According to the CDC, there are only select Soft Drinks and Bottled Water Products that are guaranteed to be free from Cryptosporidium. Bottled Water with labels reading “well water,” “spring water,” or “mineral water” are good examples of phrases the CDC says “does not guarantee the quality or safety of the water.” Soft Drinks and other beverages also may contain cryptosporidium, depending on the way the product was bottled. Juices containing real or fresh fruit can also be contaminated. According to the Center for Disease Control research studies, several people became ill after drinking apple cider made from apples that were contaminated.

To prevent these types of problems, make sure that you drink from portable water filter products and filter your bottled water through Biological Water Filter Products.
