Drink Healthy Filtered Water
Most people understand our basic need to drink clean, healthy, pure water. But what exactly is “Healthy Water,” and why do we need it?
We are 70% water, and all of our biological functions depend a great deal on water. Water is require for blood, the lymphatic system, and healthy skin and muscles. Doctors, scientists, researchers and natural healers all agree that drinking enough water on a daily basis helps maintain good health and helps fight disease. Experts say to drink 8 or more glasses of water a day for properly functioning kidneys and circulation, both of which are at risk when we approach dehydration.
Beverages such as coffee, tea, alcohol and carbonated drinks do not hydrate the body. In fact, they are diuretics and actually dry out the body by depleting cells of water. For example, many people with a hangover have experienced they are also very thirsty in the morning.
Being well hydrated is important to your physical and mental health. Dehydration makes a person feel tired, cranky, and stiff-jointed. It can also bring on headaches, aches, cramps, and other, more serious physical ailments. Severe dehydration can cause toxic acidic build-up, causing the body’s organs at some point to begin to fail. Untreated severe dehydration can result in seizures and permanent brain damage.
Because water is so important, is of course vital to get the correct amount of water every day. This does not mean “pretty much every day” or “two times a week” — If you are not going to exercise or eat healthy, you MUST at least drink the correct amount of water.
Even more important to drinking water is drinking the correct type of water. You must be certain that you are not taking in additional chemicals or minerals in your water that can harm. Drinking filtered water will assist you with this task. Carry your water filter bottle with you wherever you go. If you have one at work and in the car, you will be certain you are not found without water throughout the day. It makes no sense to wait until you can find a store so you can get bottled water, or wait until you are home to drink. Your body will not wait to dehydrate. You can always find a sink or hose or water fountain. Fill up your portable water filter bottle and drink!!
