You wouldn’t knowingly bathe in toxins every morning or set out to harm your lungs and sinuses, irritate your allergies and skin, or willingly increase your risk of cancer. But the fact is, chlorine and its by-products in your shower water are toxins which can damage your health.

Research indicates an increased risk for bladder and rectal cancer from drinking chlorinated water. And even though you’re not drinking water in the shower, you can absorb many times more chlorine in a shower than you do by drinking the same water! Tests show that your body can absorb more chlorine as a result of a 10-minute shower than if you drank eight glasses of the same water.

How can that be? A warm shower opens up your pores, causing your skin to act like a sponge. As a result, you not only inhale the chlorine vapors, you also absorb them through your skin, directly into your bloodstream-at a rate that’s up to six times higher than drinking.

Short term risks include skin, eye or sinus irritation in some people. Long term risks include oxidation (cell and tissue aging), hardened arteries, dry skin, increased risk of cancer, and hardened arteries. In addition, if you suffer from asthma or any other skin or respiratory problem, chlorinated water can make your condition worse:

The good news is that showering in chlorine-treated water is a risk you can erase immediately, through the use of a proper shower filter.

Shower tap water contains at least or more chlorine than a swimming pool

Chlorine enters the body more through inhalation and the bodies pores than drinking tap water

Showering in tap water has harsh effects on the body like dry skin and hair, also irritating skin and getting rashes

More contaminates are released in the home in the shower than any other source

Chlorine is a suspected cause of breast cancer. Women suffering from breast cancer are all found to have 50-60 percent more chlorine in their breast tissue than healthy women

Chemicals in showering water vaporize at a much faster rate than the actual water.

Use water filters with all water, including your showers. You will be glad you did.

A lot of people do not know this, but taking a shower in regular tap water can be harmful to the body. Tap water has chlorine and other harmful chemicals in it. Showering in water carrying chlorine can cause health problems like asthma and bronchitis. Also showering in chlorine water can cause breast and bladder cancer. It also causes health problems in children. Did you know chlorine is one of the leading causes in fatigue? But you do not have to shower in unsafe water there is always a solution to a problem. The solution would be using a shower filter. The benefits of using a shower filter would be the filter would be taking out the chlorine and other harmful chemicals. If that is done that eliminates one cause of health issues, also your skin and hair benefit from a shower filter. Using a shower filter your skin becomes softer and healthier looking. When the shower filters eliminate the chemicals it reduces the presence of skin rashes and the look of wrinkles. Also your hair becomes healthier and softer looking. When using a shower filter your hair is able to preserve the natural moisturizing oils that chlorine takes away when showering in tap water.

If your water comes from a pubic or municipal water system, your water should be regularly tested for contaminants regulated by Federal and state standards, such as pathogens, radioactive elements and certain toxic chemicals. However, some public water supplies may have water quality problems caused by inadequate municipal water treatment facilities or distribution systems. Further, the FDA does not regulate fixing any problems found with testing, they simply require testing. To make matters worse, some rural water supply districts do not have enough money to hire trained specialists or to immediately comply with expanding government requirements. In addition, corrosive water or deteriorating pipes in the house may add contaminants to municipal drinking water after it enters your home.

If you live in rural areas or in underdeveloped water districts protect yourself by filtering your water. There are several ways you could filter your water. The best way at home would be to use an atmospheric water generator because it will pull moisture directly out of the air. It has been said to provide the cleanest water on earth. Shower filters are another layer of protection. Your body absorbs the water and inhales the vapors during showers. This is a very important line of protection for you. When you are leaving your house or on the go, a filtered water bottle is your best bet! All of these products are very affordable to purchase and operate. Don’t take another sip of water without filtering it!

You’re able to breathe easier because Shower Filtration reduces harsh chlorine vapors, which are caused from the hot water and inhaled in the lungs and transferred into the blood stream.

Reduction of allergy symptoms.

Luster and natural shine returning to your hair, leaving it silky and smooth. Great for color-treated hair.

Softer skin that does dry out after showering

All of these benefits can be achieved immediately after installing a shower filter. Don’t put it off any longer buy a shower filter and reap the benefits as soon as you take the first shower with filtered water!

Today shower filters are more advanced than ever. They use energy saving heads and some even have patented Chlorgon with KDF filtration media. Chlorgon, a non-carbon media, removes more chlorine at a wider temperature range than any other shower filtration media. The Chlorgon with KDF filtration water filter media removes the following from your shower and bath water:

Free Chlorine (Cl-)

Combined Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite)

Hydrogen Sulfide (rotten egg smell)

Iron oxide (rust water)

Dirt, sediment

Odors

Plus, its pH balanced

It is important to filter out combined chlorines and most traditional KDF and Carbon shower filters do not filter these chemical combinations out. You can get a shower filter that will do all this for about $50 so don’t put it off any longer! So don’t shower in chemicals any longer do you body a favor get a shower filter as soon as possible!

Everyone should use a shower filter when showering because of the chemicals found in tap water. Chlorine, routinely added by water companies to kill bacteria, is a bleaching agent which bonds with and destroys the proteins in the hair and skin. Hair can become dry and sensitive skin itchy and irritated. Did you know? Up to two thirds of our daily exposure to harmful chlorine is through vapour inhalation and skin absorption when showering. The quality of our drinking water can be improved, by filtering chlorine from the tap water using a portable filtered bottle. However, this only addresses a third of the problem. Our Shower Filters offer the answer to complete the solution.

Shower Filters are an amazing product that will change the way you feel in the shower. Chlorine is universally known to be bad for our bodies and is even proven to cause cancer. It is used in every tap water supply system in the US because it is a cheap way to kill bacteria. The problem is that chlorine also kills us slowly. We all also know lead is horrible for our bodies and causes a wide range of problems, especially in children and young adults. When we shower, our pores open and we inhale vapors that contain these dangerous chemicals. We feel clean and healthy, but the reality is we are poisoning our bodies. You have probably noticed the dry skin and hair that chlorine causes, and now it’s time to do something about it. You can feel clean and healthy every time you get out of the shower with a simple shower filter. The filter removes the harmful chlorine and lead from the water allowing us to finally be able to cleanse ourselves without the danger. Every home should have shower filters installed in every shower. It’s a must to keep yourself and your family safe and healthy.

Have you ever actually tested your tap water? Probably not. Most people don’t realize that their tap water is required to be tested and reported to all homeowners. This requirement is set in place by the EPA, which governs tap water quality in the US. The major problem is the EPA does not make sure the water is actually tested, and does not regulate the tests that are performed. As bad as that sounds, the good news is that most major cities at least test their water and report as required simply to make it seem they are doing a great job.

An excellent example can be found in your own water quality reports. Go to your city’s website or courthouse and see if you can get ahold of the water quality report for your water system. These are done yearly and are reported by June or July of the following year. For example, now you would be looking for the 2005 water report, because the 2006 report is not due our for a few months. This poses the first problem: Why does it take 6 months to release the report?

Now that you have your report, read it thoroughly. You will notice all the wording is very positive and upbeat, and they use phrases like “this does not necessarily present a health hazard.” As you read, you will find little paragraphs buried in the document that paint a less-than-positive picture about your city’s water. For example, most water supplies actually contain the bacteria cryptosporidium. In many cases, this is tested for, found in the water after treatment, and stated in the report. Does that seem safe? Does it make sense to use a Biological Water Filter?

Towards the end of the report, you will find the actual statistical numbers. These may be difficult to read, but if you spend some time calculating the numbers and reading the charts and graphs, you may be surprised about what is actually in your water! They make it difficult hoping most people will give up. It’s time we all wake up and realize our tap water is not always perfectly safe. We all need to do our part to filter our own water and use filtered water bottles whenever we are away from home. Shower Filters are also important to protect our skin and hair. We all have to do our part to stay safe!
