A recent study showed that traditional bottled water had no fewer contaminants than tap water. Isn’t that why most people drink bottled water? Surely, not because they want to add to the ever increasing landfill and pollution problem. If you’re concerned with contaminants and you want the convenience of a bottle, the best way to go is with a portable water filter that is filtered with a carbon or membrane filter. These bottle filters are inexpensive and very easy to use. Why doesn’t everybody have one? Not only is it keeping you safe, it’s helping the environment. It’s a win, win for you and the Earth.
Bottled Water Bad, Filtered Water Good
October 12th, 2008Go Green – Water Bottle Filter
September 28th, 2008Every day, there is more and more call for individuals and companies to “Go Green.” The first thing everybody thinks about is eliminating the waste, especially plastic water bottles. The Go Green campaign has already made a dent in the amount of plastic bottles we are sending to landfills every day! Using a re-usable water bottle or a water bottle filter is the best way to get started. A portable water filter is simply a device that allows you to fill up your bottle with regular tap water and will filter the chlorine, bad taste, odor problems, and even lead and mercury from the water. Save money and go green all at the same time! Whatever you do, make sure you are taking every step possible to help the environment as we all have to live here every day.
Portable Water Purifier
August 6th, 2008We have been asked many times: Is there a difference between a Portable Water Filter and a Portable Water Purifier? Basically, the answer is No. A filter and a purifier in the strictest sense of the word is about the same thing. A filter removes contaminants and a purifier makes the water cleaner. A portable water purifier and bottle purifier are going to remove the chlorine mercury and lead from the water making it not only safer for you but also much more healthy.
Water

Five Ways To Go More Green
July 18th, 20081. Ease up on the meat
DID YOU KNOW to produce 1 kilogram of boneless beef it takes 6.5 kilograms of grain, 36 kilograms of roughage (coarse grains and pasture), and 155 litres of drinking water. A vegetarian diet has been calculated to require only 300 gallons of water per day, while a meat eating diet requires 4,000 gallons per day. Can imageine that you save more water by not eating a pound of beef than you do by not showering for an entire year. Do you part and eat more Chicken!
2. Get a water filter bottle
Starting with just one person, the effect of reducing the number of plastic bottles being thrown away can be amazing. Do your part by getting a portable water filter or water bottle filter for everyday use. Water Filters are good for you and save the environment.
3. Start with a good green design
Custom building a house? Talk with your architect and plumb it for greywater recovery. Greywater recovery uses separate pipes from the toilets and the rest of the house. Redesign the roof to collect, mitigate, or filter runoff water. The water can be directed to big cisterns that can hold enough water to last through the entire summer. Choose permeable paving to allow water to soak through to the ground instead of it washing away. Want to really go extra green in this new construction, consider filtering grey (or even black) water with natural plants and other organisms. Lastly, landscape for your climate. If you live in the desert don’t plant grass because it will require too much water and will create a non-green situation.
4. Get involved
in Africa and Asia approximately half of the population has no access whatsoever to clean water. It has been reported that every 10 seconds a child dies because of dirty water. Estimates have shown 4 million children under five die every year due to water-born diseases (like cryptosporidium, giardia, etc). Over 1.1 billion children have no clean water nearby their homes. Many children in third-world countries share the same water they use to drink, cook and bathe with their livestock animals. You don’t have to be an actor to get involved, but here is an example: Matt Damon set up H2OAfrica after he “saw firsthand the effects of one of the largest public health issues of our time, the world water crisis which is at its worst in Africa.” Even churches are starting campaigns to control the spread of bottled water.
5. Location
We may find that many of water sources are going to disappear in the near future. We should be looking to live in areas of the world that can easily sustain us with out the artificial means in which we heavily rely upon.
** Think about these 5 things and do what you can to go greener than just plain green.
Water Bottle Filters
June 9th, 2008We all know that tap water is bad. It smells it is harsh on our outer appearance and also the inner side of the bodies. Tap water has chlorine, to parasites, to lead, and all kinds of contaminants. It has been researched there are over 2,200 contaminants in tap water. Yuck all that is going straight into our body. And we thought water was good for us well not tap water. But what is an easy convenient and cost efficient way to drink water but not the harmful contaminants with it? Well there is a solution! It is called a water bottle filter. Basically what you do it put tap water in you water bottle from the sink to the water fountain at the park. Put the top on and while you squeeze the water out of the spout the filter attached to the top will filter out all of the contaminants and smells. You can take this sports water bottled filter anywhere and use it. It is easy to use and doesn’t take up much room. To where if you drink bottled water you have to stop buy it and then go on your way. Then later you will have to dispose of the bottle, which is not good for the planet. After that you might be thirsty again and have to go through that whole process again. While if you had the water bottle filter you can refill as you go. Not buying lots of bottled water and not throwing away the bottles. So when using a sports water bottle filter you save in the pockets well helping the planet that we live on and of course getting fresh water every time
Say No to Tap
May 8th, 2008Most people know that tap water isn’t good for us. Some still drink it. Did you know that there are so many harmful things in tap water? For example chlorine, parasites, and lead are some of the things. These contaminants can cause health problems from cancer to bladder infections, and even stomach virus.
Yes, there is an alternative to drinking contaminated tap water! Some people turn to bottled water, but isn’t the greatest alternative for our health or the environment. Besides spending a lot of money bottled water. In some cases bottled water is just tap water in a bottle. Also the bottles from bottled water are harmful to our atmosphere. Making the bottles pollutes the air with harmful chemicals and when discarding them in the trash these bottles are not biodegradable.
What other alternative is there? Well you can always use a water filter bottle. It has a built in water filter right in the bottle! You just fill up with tap water and while drinking it filters the contaminants out of the water. It is easy to carry around and you can reuse it over and over. These bottle filters can filter out lead, mercury, other heavy metals, chlorine, taste and odor problems, and even bacteria and harmful organisms!
Stop the Bottled Water Use!
April 10th, 2008Bottled water companies promote their products as being purer and safer than regular municipal (tap) water. Bottled water can cost over 10,000 times more per gallon than regular tap water. Many bottled water campaigns say their products are held to “higher standards,” but in reality tap water is actually held to more stringent quality standards than bottled water. Many brands of bottled water have been discovered to be nothing more than tap water in disguise. The ever increasing consumption of bottled water is fueling an unsustainable industry that leaves a heavy imprint on our environment. The estimated amount of oil used to create bottles for bottled water is 1.5 million barrels of oil. The amount of oil burned to transport these bottles is too significant to calculate.
The massive increase in bottled water production has produced water shortages in areas near bottling plants and plastic bottle plants. In addition to the millions of gallons of water used in the plastic-making process, two gallons of water are wasted in the purification process for every gallon that goes into the bottles.
The next time you begin to feel thirsty stop before you grab a bottle of water! Go to the nearest computer and google personal water filters. You will find a filtered bottle that you can use in the city to filter regular tap water. The filters are designed to remove everything you dislike about tap water.
Did You Know These Facts on Filtered Water Bottles??
March 17th, 2008A filtered water bottle is a bottle that has a filter attached to the cap. The filter removes things like chlorine, bad taste, and bad odors from the water.
The following are some facts about the benefits of drinking filtered water from a filtered water bottle instead of drinking bottled water:
1) The averege filtered water bottle filter will last up to 80 gallons with optimal water
a) assuming the water you drink is optimal this means two replacement filters you purchase for $13 will give you 160 gallons at a cost of $0.12 a gallon.
b) It would take 8 – 16oz bottles of water to equal one gallon. If you pay $1.00 to $2.00 per bottle you will be paying somewhere between $8.00 to $16.00 to equal the same amount of water you can drink for $0.12 through a filtered water bottle
2) The average bottle of water has only 16 ounces of water and costs $1-2.00 (depending on brand).
a) The cost of 16 ounces of filtered water through a filtered water bottle is $0.015!
b) The number of 16oz bottles of water you could eliminate drinking if you used a personal water filter bottle and got the full 80 gallons would be 640 bottles!
So you see there is a huge positive impact that can be made if you choose to give up bottled water and use the more affordable, environmentally friendly, convenient alternative to bottled water.

A Healthier You!
March 2nd, 2008The day you choose to purchase and use a filtered water bottle will be the day you decide to improve your health. Now you are probably wondering how a filtered water bottle can improve your health. Believe it or not, the average person does not drink the recommended daily allowance of eight 8oz glasses of water.

The simple solution to these problems can be found in a bottle with a filter attached to the cap. Filtered water bottles are very easy to use, affordable, and environmentally friendly. You are sure to drink more water when it is readily available no matter where you go, not to mention the fact that you will never worry about bad smells, bad tastes, or too much chlorine. A healthier you is right around the corner! Start drinking filtered water from you very own filtered bottle TODAY!
